Female Waterproof Enclosure Entry Cable
This cable features a panel mounting section in the centre, which is designed to create a completely waterproof entry through a hole in the wall of a weather-proof housing or any other enclosure. On the outside section of the cable there is a female 5-pin waterproof connector which takes power and signals out to the Waterproof Cable System. On the inside section of the cable, the 5 cores of the cable are split into two parts: the 2 power wires split out to a 5.5mm x 2.5mm DC barrel jack and the 3 signal wires are split out to a 3.5mm stereo female socket.
This cable is normally used in two ways:
- To carry power out of and transfer signals into/out of a central waterproof enclosure that contains the camera trap’s batteries.
- To bring power into and transfer signals into/out of weatherproof housings for devices such as cameras, flashes or video lights.
The diameter of the hole in the enclosure (which this cable runs through) must be between 15.2mm and 18.5mm in order for the rubber washer to create a completely waterproof seal. The enclosure wall thickness should not exceed 5mm.
The DC barrel jack can connect to the following equipment: NP-F Adapter Plates, the Camera Power Splitter, Camera Dummy Batteries, the Flash to DC Socket Power Adapter (for plugging into Camtraptions flashes), the Tamiya to DC Socket Adapter (for plugging into Ni-MH batteries), the Crocodile Clip to DC Socket Adapter (for plugging into lead acid batteries), Camtraptions DC Power Switch, Camtraptions USB Switch.
Warning: You must ensure that any battery you connect via this cable is suitable for powering the equipment you plan to connect it to. You could damage your equipment if you attempt to power it with an inappropriate battery.
The 3.5mm stereo socket can connect into the following equipment: Camtraptions PIR Motion Sensors (via a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter), cameras and Camera Cables (via a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter), the Camtraptions Flash Hot Shoe Adapter (via a 30cm male to male flash cable), Camtraptions Flashes (via a 30cm male to male flash cable), the Camtraptions DC Power Switch (via a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter), the Camtraptions USB Switch (via a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter).

What is the Waterproof Cable System?
The Camtraptions Waterproof Cable System offers a new way to set up and provide power to camera traps. The cables within this new system contain 5 cores: two high-current power wires and three signal wires. The system can therefore carry trigger signals between devices (such as from a camera to the flashes), as well as provide power to all of these devices from a single set of batteries, stored in an accessible central enclosure.
