Wireless Triggers v2
The Camtraptions Wireless Trigger v2 is a versatile and reliable solution for remotely firing a camera or off-camera flashes. The new v2 triggers now feature 15 wireless channels, allowing more wireless camera traps with off-camera flash to be set up in a given area without any interference.
The Camtraptions Wireless Triggers v2 are fully compatible with the v1 Triggers and Wireless PIR Motion Sensor v3 for triggering one or more cameras and flashes in a camera trap setup.
- Dual-function wireless trigger, which can be used as a remote shutter release for a camera, or as a radio trigger for flashes
- Multiple receiver units can be used to fire several remote cameras or off-camera flashes using a single Transmitter v1, Transmitter v2 or the PIR Sensor v3.
- Wireless range of up to 120m
- Compatible with Canon & Nikon systems
- Flash sync speed up to 1/320s
- TTL pass-through on transmitter*
- Wakes sleeping speedlights
- Receiver standby time: 200 hours (unlimited with the External Battery Modification)
- 2.4GHz frequency, 15 channels
*This means a flash or flash cable mounted on top of the transmitter can be TTL, but not flashes connected to the wireless receivers.
Remote shutter release mode
Simply plug one end of a camera connecting cable (purchased separately) into the Receiver and the other end into your camera's shutter release socket. You can then remotely fire your camera by pressing the button on the Transmitter.
Flash radio trigger mode
Slide the Transmitter in to the hot shoe on top of your camera and place your speedlight flash into the hot shoe on top of the Receiver. Your flash will now wake and fire when your camera takes a photo. You can purchase additional receivers in order to fire multiple flashes with a single transmitter.
Perfect for Camera Traps!
The Camtraptions Wireless Triggers v2 are compatible with many different camera and flash brands, including Canon and Nikon. This means you can use a Canon camera to wake and fire Nikon flashes and vice versa without any additional adapter. The triggers can wake sleeping flashes when the camera powers up which means your flashes will be ready to fire at the first shot. Note: One or two cameras, such as the Canon EOS 1D X, have been found to power up and fire off the first shot so quickly that the flashes do not wake up in time. Our PIR Sensor v3 can overcome this problem for many cameras, but please contact us if you would like to confirm whether your camera is compatible.
