Wireless Trigger Voltage Regulator
The Wireless Trigger Voltage Regulator cable is designed to efficiently convert any power source ranging from 3V up to 15V, down to a stable 3V power supply for Camtraptions Wireless Triggers.
The Wireless Trigger Voltage Regulator cable simply plugs into the side of a Camtraptions Transmitter or Receiver to power it.
A single Wireless Trigger Voltage Regulator cable can also be plugged into the Splitter Power Cable for Wireless Triggers to provide 3V regulated power to two Wireless Triggers simultaneously, for example a Receiver plugged into a camera’s shutter release port and a Transmitter in the camera’s hot shoe to fire the flashes.
Examples
- A Wireless Trigger Voltage Regulator can be paired with a Splitter Power Cable for Wireless Triggers, a Camera Power Splitter and an External Battery System for Cameras, to power everything around the camera (including the camera itself) from a single lithium NP-F Battery.
- A Wireless Trigger Voltage Regulator could be plugged into a rechargeable USB power bank to provide long life to a Wireless Receiver or Transmitter (or both at the same time using a Splitter Power Cable for Wireless Triggers).*1
- A Wireless Trigger Voltage Regulator can connect to the Flash Power Cable in order to draw power from the same 6V battery that is used to power the Camera Trap Flash. In this way, a single 6V Ni-MH Rechargeable battery can be used to power both the Camera Trap Flash and its Receiver.*2
*1 Not all USB power banks may be suitable, as some automatically shut off after a certain period. A USB to DC 5.5x2.5mm adapter may be required if the power bank does not feature a DC socket to plug the Wireless Trigger Voltage Regulator into directly.
*2 When using a Camtraptions Solar Panel to recharge the external 6V battery, it is still possible to power the Wireless Receiver with this Wireless Trigger Voltage Regulator cable by using a 4-way DC Splitter Cable.
