NP-F lithium ion batteries are a popular choice for providing extra life to camera trap equipment because of their low-cost, wide availability and high capacities (up to around 8,800mAh).

Camtraptions Compact NP-F Adapters are small adapters that make it easy to use NP-F batteries to power many different items of camera trap equipment. They add virtually no extra bulk or weight to the NP-F battery itself, which is particularly useful in camera trap systems where space inside protective housings can be limited.

Compact NP-F Adapters fit perfectly onto the front of NP-F batteries and are held securely in-place with a supplied heavy duty band. The band also provides a non-slip surround to the NP-F battery.

Although Camtraptions Compact NP-F Battery Adapters are already included within a number of Camtraptions kits, they are also available to purchase separately on this page. The adapters are available in two types, selected via the dropdown box above:

1. 1. Compact NP-F Adapter (Single Output): This small adapter has a single set of output terminal blocks, which provides power from an NP-F battery without any change to the voltage. For example, if the NP-F battery outputs 7.4V, then this set of terminal blocks will also output 7.4V. This is appropriate for providing direct power to many different cameras or Camtraptions products.
   2. Compact NP-F Adapter (Multi Output): This larger adapter is useful for powering many items of equipment at the same time from a single NP-F battery. It features two sets of output terminal blocks, which provide power from an NP-F battery without any change to the voltage. For example, if the NP-F battery outputs 7.4V, then these two sets of terminal blocks will also output 7.4V each. These two sets of terminal blocks can be used to power one or two items of equipment, such as a camera and Camtraptions Lens Heater. This NP-F Adapter also has a third output socket which provides power at a reduced voltage of 3V, intended for Camtraptions Wireless Triggers. A single cable or splitter cable can be connected to power one or two triggers respectively. 

NP-F Adapter Cables are not supplied with the Compact NP-F Adapters themselves and instead can be purchased separately from this page. Several different NP-F Adapter Cables are available to provide compatibility with a wide range of different equipment and connectors.

Notes:

1. The Compact NP-F Battery Adapters and the NP-F Battery Adapter Mount do not regulate the voltage of the NP-F Battery. Therefore, the adapter should only be used with equipment that is suitable for being powered directly by NP-F lithium ion batteries.
2. The NP-F battery itself is not included and must be purchased elsewhere.
