NP-F lithium ion batteries are a popular choice for providing extra life to camera trap equipment because of their low-cost, wide availability and high capacities (up to around 8,800mAh).

The Camtraptions Compact NP-F Battery Adapter is a small adapter that makes it easy to use NP-F batteries to power many different items of camera trap equipment. It adds virtually no extra bulk or weight to the NP-F battery itself, which is particularly useful in camera trap systems where space inside protective housings can be limited.

The Compact NP-F Battery Adapter fits perfectly onto the front of any size NP-F battery and is held securely in-place with a supplied heavy-duty band. The band also provides a non-slip surround to the NP-F battery.

The adapter has a set of additional solder pads for users who want to power a second item of equipment from the same battery, without any need for a splitter cable. Alternatively, these pads can be used to add a custom connector to the adapter or to solder multiple adapters together in parallel for extending battery life.

Although the Compact NP-F Battery Adapter is already included within a number of Camtraptions kits, it is also available to purchase separately on this page.

The Compact NP-F Battery Adapter comes supplied with a connector of your choice, selected using the dropdown box above. The options are:

1. A female DC 5.5mm x 2.5mm connector. This connector is suitable for plugging an NP-F battery into the Wireless Trigger Voltage Regulator to power Wireless Triggers, and the Female Waterproof Enclosure Entry Cable to power cameras or flashes via the Waterproof Cable System.
2. A male DC 5.5mm x 2.5mm connector. This connector is required for plugging an NP-F battery into the Camtraptions DC Power Switch and USB Power Switch for automated video light systems. This connector can also plug into the Flash Power Cable for powering Camtraptions Flashes, a 4-way DC Splitter Cable and the Camtraptions Lens Heater for providing timer-controlled heating to a lens heating strip or Heated Camera Housing Window.
3. A female DC 5.5mm x 2.1mm connector. This connector is suitable for plugging into camera dummy batteries to extend the life of your camera.
4. A male DC 5.5mm x 2.1mm connector. This connector is appropriate for plugging into the Camera Power Splitter to power multiple devices around the camera at the same time, or for plugging into an NP-F Dummy Battery DC Coupler.

Notes:

1. The Compact NP-F Battery Adapter and the NP-F Battery Adapter Mount do not regulate the voltage of the NP-F Battery. Therefore, the adapter should only be used with equipment that is suitable for being powered directly by NP-F lithium ion batteries.
2. The NP-F battery itself is not included and must be purchased elsewhere.
